Straight Out of the Camera Sunday

Help! We are under attack!

Two years ago we had a cardinal from hell attack our windows. He started an hour after daylight and would attack all windows around the house until late afternoon. This went on for months. Last year either he did not return or decided the windows were no threat. This morning a scissortail decided he/she did not like my windows. We have a reflective film over the windows to repel or minimize the sun which gives a mirror reflection. I may have to purchase a cheap mirror or two to hang in the trees which I hope will attract the birds away from the windows. lol

Until next time, God bless.

Oh dear! It sure does seem to drive some birds crazy!

We don't have swallows with that much tail here. I've also had the window bashing birds and they drive you nuts! Good luck with the mirrors! I had to wait for the little beggars to expire!

i suppose it's attacking its own image thinking it's another bird.

Well, they might not like your windows but you sure got some great pictures! I have never seen a bird with a tail like that before!

I have a friend who a couple of years ago had a robin attacking the window as he saw his reflection and wanted to chase the intruder away. Some people use large cardboard cutouts of birds on their windows during breeding season. They can be purchased at birding stores or just make one yourself. Valerie

We used to have a cardinal that would attack the rearview mirror of our car. It was at war with its own image. We got a few good laughs out of it.

He did not like your window, or the other bird, at all. You got some really great shots, those are cool.

BTW, you have been tagged. If you want to play the instructions are at Through Squirrel Eyes
