The Brenda Photo Challenge

This meme is the brainstorm of Donna at The Brenda Photo Challenge blog. I am very new to a concerted effort in photography and The Brenda Challenge, as well as other bloggers' photo challenges, has broaden my horizons. I notice things I never paid much attention to. It is fun and urge any of you reading my blog to enter the various challenges.

"Me and My Shadow"

Luc follows me everywhere. You would think we are permanently attached. I could not help but laugh when looking at this photo -- my legs look like tree trunks, the shorts are something else, and the bush hat on the tiny head looks like it belongs to Laurel or Hardy.

Picked these gourds too early but suddenly saw the shadows; and well, since this week's challenge is shadows, I had to take a shot, i.e., one of those things I never would have noticed if not for the challenge.

Thought this looked kind of cool on July 4.

Do you think anyone would buy a car with a lacy paint job?

How about an egg salad sandwich, chips and a cold drink?

Be sure to visit Brenda's Photo Challenge site for updates on future challenges. When your photos are up, leave a message with the blog address such as http://thenameofyourblog.blogspot(wordpress).com. Thanks.

Until next time, God bless.

Your first photo is cute. The shadow looks like a detective with a dog acting as the assistant.

Sometimes we dont really notice the shadows on our photos, but now I searched all my photos for this challenge and I luckily found some.

I love these photos. Isn't it odd how we usually overlook these shadows but they really make good photo objects. I like how you captured the gourds and the pharmacy sign.

Great photo's. I like the top one the best also. The gourds are nice too and I think the field in the backround is very pretty.
My shadow challenge is up also. I'm not sure if this link will work or not. But, if it doesn't it is on my photoblog which you will see in my profile when you click on my name. Sorry.

Wonderful Pictures! We have several dogs who constantly follow us like that. Love the picture of the gourds too. I carry my camera in my purse now and always find some unique picture along the way.

Great job on the shadow shots! thanks for hosting, too. It was fun.

I like the first one too.

I just happen to realize that every where I went in the yard, there was Luc. He does it in the house or makes sure he is in position to watch me. However, since the theme was shadows, it suddenly came to me, "Me and My Shadow," so I ran into the house for the camera. lol

Thanks so much to all of you for participating in this challenge. Everyone had wonderful shadow photos and loved the variety and originality.

Good shadow shots Lynne...thanks for them!

And thanks for your visit to My World post and the Bull's Head Inn. It certainly does remind us to be grateful for modern conveniences doesn't it?
