My dream vacation would always be something tropical. I am a beach person. I love the balmy feel of an ocean breeze and the colors of a fiery sunset. Relaxing in the sun on a sandy beach or swimming are my favorite things. I don't have to travel outside the USA to be happy. Florida or Hawaii is great.
Give me the beach. I like listening to the sound of water. I love being able to lie in the sun on a sunny beach with palm trees nearby. I would love nothing more than to have a house near or on a beach where I don't have to worry about coats, hats, gloves, etc just give me some cut off jeans, a tee shirt and flip flops.

I feel the same way about mountains as you do about the beach. I am always in awe when looking at mountains but then awed by the ocean too.
We haven't been outside the States since 1997, but I'm ok with that if I can get to the mountains. :D
