Straight Out of the Camera Sunday

I haven't done a SOOC in a while.  There two rules:  1) photo must be taken by you, and 2) no tweaking.

I love remanents of old houses.  I have no idea when this chimney and cistern were built but seeing them takes you back to a simpler life.

Until next time, God bless.

Beautiful sense of desolation in this scene! Like ghosts breathe here but cannot live!

That's a great Halloween picture.

On the property we farmed neighbors told us a house once stood. It was all pasture except for a rock step. They said one day a tornado took the house and the owners were so upset they just left. My neighbor told me once: "If you dug at that spot you'd find a cellar full of canned vegetables and peaches." I thought about that every time I was near there.

Wonder what the story of that picture would tell, if it could. Happy Halloween to you, Lynn!

Oh, yeah, old houses - one conjures up stories in one's head. This looks like it has a story of its own.

That chimney would tell a story if it could speak.
I like old ruins.
Happy Halloween!

I love things like this! I wish we had something like that deep in our woods. I'd make up a story about how it came to be there...

The yogurt maker sounds nice, but I guess I'm just too lazy. It's too easy to pick it up in the store. I know homemade always tastes better.

Thanks for the reminder about the flu shot. I haven't had mine yet...

I've missed you! So busy, I've gotta get back into reading blogs. I do enjoy it so.

I'm sure that house has a story to tell.

Ah . . . takes me back . . . to when I lived in Texas. Lots of sites like this. Can't say that I miss the terrain, but I do miss the people. They live a simpler lifestyle and are really hospitable.
