Sky Watch Friday

You'll have to admit that I've really milked our trip into Austin this past Sunday for here is another photo from that excursion. :D Our skies have been filled with clouds for a couple of weeks. We've had thundering and lightening along with about 2 or 3 drops of rain. I am happy to report that we finally had a wonderful thunderstorm yesterday afternoon giving us about 1/2 inch in the rain gauge. Praise God!

Shot this one from the car about three weeks ago. Not a cloud in the sky, but plenty of sun.

A July sunset from our yard. Click on the Sky Watch icon at the top or this link to see skies around the world.

Until next time, God bless.

Another nice scene from Austin even if the storms were brewing. Always enjoy anything from Texas.

Your photos are so lovely and peaceful...

Thanks, Pam. But I must admit that every once in a while it is a little too peaceful. I lived most of my life in Houston and kind of miss the hustle and bustle. :D Not for too long, of course, but miss it nevertheless.

The photos are so lovely and I love the sunset. I'm glad to hear you had some rain, we've had a little and hopefully more is on the way. At least it has cooled off.

The sky on the second photo is very clear, no signs of clouds and rain, unlike with the first photo, and I'm glad that you had some rains, well I guess, we all needed rain but not too much.

A half inch of rain! We would love to have that out here in So Cal!Very happy for you though.I know TX can sure use some too.
Pretty blue skies over a very sturdy looking building. Pretty colored bricks.
Thanks for sharing!

I'd love to visit Texas someday. My nephew was stationed out of Texas all the while he was in Iraq now he's done his tours and reassigned to Upstate NY. I missed my big chance.

Lynn said...

Yes, you did miss your chance, Daisy; however, I'm sure your nephew is very glad to be back in NY. :D

BTW, thank your nephew for me for his service. And, hopefully he returned unharmed. I have a great admiration and respect for the men and women who serve in the military. God bless him and all those in the military.
