Manic Monday #171

If you care to join in answering the questions, please do so!

1) If you joined the circus, what act would you want to perform?

Answer: You would not catch me on the high wire! I would do the bareback riding tricks with horses. Then, I might also want to be a clown.

2) Would you generally overdress or under dressed at a party?

Answer: I'm more inclined to under dress than to overdress.

3) Do you feel children should be sheltered from unhappiness?

Opinion: It depends upon what the circumstances are surrounding the cause of unhappiness. I do not believe in overprotecting children, but then I do not feel it necessary to expose children to every little life's unhappiness either. In my humble opinion, I think children are overexposed to a lot of unnecessary facts which can be better understood and handled as they mature. Bottom line, let children be children - don't take away their childhood.

Manic Monday #160

Ok, people, leave me some answers. Puleeeze.

Do you screen your phone calls?

Lynn: Rarely do I screen my phone calls. When we are in an election cycle, I many times allow the answering machine to pick up.

When was the last time you lost your temper?

Lynn: The last time hubby had the news blaring. :D Hmmm, yesterday?

When lost do you ask for directions?

Lynn: Yes, no sense in driving around for 30-45 minutes when a quick stop at a convenience store to ask a direction question takes about three minutes.

Until next time, God bless.

Manic Monday #159

Are you a saver or spender?

Lynn: I am a saver and more so in these trouble economic times. If I can do without, I do.

Do you prefer to walk around barefoot in your home? Socks? Shoes?

Lynn: I walk around barefoot in the summer and with socks when it is cold.

Do you talk to yourself?

Lynn: Yes, but I don't answer. lol

Manic Monday #158

What would you do with an extra hour each day?

Lynn: What extra hour? lol If I could move the hour around day to day, I might sleep one day, read a couple of extra chapters in a book on another, extend a lunch date on another day, or do something more constructive than blogging. :D

Do you wear a watch? If so, tell us about it. If not, how do you keep track of time?

Lynn: I wear a watch sometimes when the watch band is not broken which it is now. If in the car, I check its clock; when home, I check the wall clocks or the computer; when out of the car or the house, I ask. Then again, I remember I have a cell and check it for time.

If it was possible, would you want to know how many days you had left to live?

Lynn: No, because as much as I would not want to do so, I'd probably start fretting about it.

Ok, y'all, leave some answers, please.

Until next time, God bless.

Manic Monday #155

Here are a couple of fun questions from The Daily Meme:

Of all your favorite foods, which one would you find the most difficult to give up the rest of your life?

Lynn: Steak. Hubby and I did a three-week fast last year. I gave up all meat products. I spent the last three days of the fast obsessing over a juicy steak.

Which month of the year best describes your personality?

Lynn: April probably best describes my personality. When I open my eyes in the morning and after my first cup of coffee, I start wondering what is new for the day.

If you could be a guest on a game show, past or present, which show would you pick?

Lynn: Ok, I admit it: I do not watch game shows so cannot make a choice. :D

Please leave your answers in the Comments section. Purtty pleeeeeese.

Until next time, God bless.

Manic Monday #152

What gives you hope?

My hope comes from my Higher Power, a/k/a Jesus. I know He is with me in trials and joys. I draw upon his strength, peace, and love in the darkest of hours as well as rejoice in thankfulness when in the sunlight. Through Him I am a better person; without Him, I revert to my self-centered life.

How often do you get your haircut? Describe your worst haircut.

Since my hair is short, I get a haircut about every four to six weeks. The worst haircut ever was the day my hairdresser was mad at me -- it ended up being about one inch long all over my head. A word to the wise: never, ever, ever get a haircut if your hairdresser is angry with you. :D

What's your most treasured piece of jewelry? Why?
My wedding ring is my most treasured piece of jewelry and it needs no explanation. However, the next two most favorite are a string of pearls and a necklace with mother-of-pearl chips and carved birds, both of which were my mother's. Whenever I see or wear one, the memory of my sweet mother comes to mind.

It's your turn now to give your answers. :D

Until next time, God bless you.
