SOOC - Sunday

Straight Our of the Camera Sunday

Murrita 365 started this cool meme. There is no theme but to post whatever comes out of your camera that does not require tweaking. Also, it has to be your photo. :D

I had to go back a couple of weeks to find these. Click over to Murrita's site to see what others have posted. What can I say? I was taking pictures for the Black & White Photo Challenge.

Scissortail nest prior to baby bird occupancy, but 4 of the prettiest light cream and reddish brown eggs were on the bottom. Next year I may drag the ladder out to take a picture should I find a nest this close to the ground.

Until next time, God bless.

Really nice nest that took a lot of work for the little birds.
And I always like tractor photos.

I loved the top photo. I am trying to come up with a good caption for it but can't seem to think of one. They look so odd sitting there together but it is almost like they are good friends-machine and animal.

SQ, the scissortail nest really is a work of art. I haven't captured the beauty of the materials used although I've tried. After the babies fly, perhaps I can then get close enough.

Rae, if you come up with a cool caption, be sure to share it with us.

Donna, I've sent you an email concerning the Challenge.

These are great examples of SOOC. I really like both of them.

How lovely, that nest.
I had to take my dictionary to translate Scissortail, I'm learning to speak english better, day by day !

Mama, did you find it?

If not:

scissor - that with which you cut material to sew, or cut a string,

tail - as in a dog wags its tail

The bird's tail feathers are split like a pair of scissors. :D

Thank you for commenting.

Hi Lynn, I was going to ask what a scissortail is but since you've posted the answer I understand it.

BTW thanks for visiting my blog.:)

Awesome photos!! The top one if my favorite too, the cow looks like she's protecting the tractor. :-)
